Cresa Baltimore recently represented AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine in the relocation of its headquarters to 10500 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, MD. Cresa is the world’s largest corporate real estate advisory firm that exclusively represents tenants and specializes in the delivery of integrated corporate services

The medical specialty society, representing a community of over 50,000 medical employees working in various post-acute and long-term care settings, will occupy 9,865 square feet on the second floor of the seven-story, Class A, office building. The new space is located at 50 Columbia Corporate Center in Columbia Town Center, where AMDA currently occupies 10,151 square feet at 70 Columbia Corporate Center.

According to Cresa Baltimore Principal Scott Wingrat, who represented AMDA in the transaction along with Lauren Rizzo from Cresa Washington DC, the relocation will provide a drastic reduction in rent for the tenant, and the space has a newer, more efficient build-out as well as covered/structured parking. Additionally, AMDA will be within walking distance of all the amenities in Columbia Town Center. Cresa’s project management team also assisted in the search and evaluation of the properties.

The projected move-in date is November 4, 2016.

“Cresa identified and expertly evaluated all the market options that met our needs and proceeded to negotiate the best possible deal, which resulted in significant cost savings and allowed us to remain with our current landlord,” said Debbie Addison, AMDA Director of Finance and Administration.

The landlord, Howard Hughes Corporation, was represented in-house by Karen Cherry.

Cresa has area offices in Baltimore, MD; Bethesda, MD; the District of Columbia; and McLean, VA.
