It is my pleasure to recommend Gary Woonteiler and his company, Woonteiler Ink.
Gary was my excellent writing professor at Boston University in the graduate program for the School of Public Relations and Communication. We have maintained a close personal and working relationship since the mid-1970s.
He has worked with me while I was at the Mental Health Association of Rhode Island and then as Director of Development and VP for Marketing, Planning and Development for 13 years at the Falmouth Hospital and its Foundation.
He has written numerous direct mail pieces, brochures, case studies, and all manner of communication tools but most importantly has understood what I was trying to accomplish, who the audiences were and what messages we wanted to send. As such, he was always in my confidence for overall strategy development and leveraging other opportunities.
His greatest attributes, in my opinion, are they he listens and asks very probing questions, then helps to execute the program within budget. Also, he is a wordsmith of the very first order. Whether it’s traditional or “new” media, content is still king, and the words make communications pop.
Gary has a special affinity for working in the healthcare field. Not only has he worked with me and other organizations on the Cape, where his family has a house, but also my wife when she was the Executive director of the SE American Red Cross ,doing a masterful job in pulling together a huge event right on the heels of 911. I know he has represented a number of other healthcare agencies and companies and has special reason to focus on healthcare and cancer treatment in particular because of a loved one’s battle with that horrible disease.
Gary is not just a dedicated, hardworking professional but a craftsman with an integrity that is unparalleled. He will actually tell a client “no” when it’s called for. I know that firsthand and have profited by it.
